THIS GYM HAS SEEN A FEW DANCES
Built in 1937 as a Public Works Administration project, the Startup Gym served the local school district and generations of Valley residents before falling into disrepair. The Sky Valley Arts Council and a determined crew of volunteers brought it back to life as the Startup Event Center.
Now we’re bringing prom back to the old gym. This time, the chaperones are monsters.
A PARTY WITH A POINT
A portion of Monster Ball proceeds will benefit the Sky Valley Arts Council, the local organization responsible for restoring, maintaining, and programming the Startup Event Center.
Your ticket helps fill the dance floor while supporting the continued care of a historic community space. We like a party that leaves something good behind.
WHO'S THROWING THIS THING?
Pretty Decent Goods is an independent creative studio and water-based screen print shop based in Sultan, Washington.
We build brands, print merchandise by hand, and create community projects with more thought than a logo slapped onto something forgettable. Monster Ball is our kind of event: original artwork, local partners, limited-run merchandise, a historic venue, and a very good reason to get everyone into the same room.
Our friends at Dreadnought Brewing in Monroe will be behind the bar, providing licensed alcohol service throughout the evening. Drinks will be available for purchase and are not included with admission. Bring your ID and tip your bartender.
